Waterloo Place, Derry on a busy Saturday, The Panorama opens looking out of Waterloo Placed down Strand Road. (Behind the two young girls having fun "Take our picture Mr - take our picture!".)
Waterloo Places is supposed to be a pedestrian zone - but a lot of people seem to have mobility problems and need to park their cars on the paved area.
To the left of the opening the red and black building houses the 'Fusion' night club, better known in days gone by as 'The Embassy Ballroom'. In that incarnation it was the venue for gigs by Van Morrison and many others.
For many years at the height of the "Troubles" there was a military observation post on the roof of the Embassy building.
Continuing the rotation past The Embassy building we pass the old guy walking into the pedestrian zone. Beyond him we see the mouth of Waterloo Street a steep street with many pubs and music venues.
